A napokban egy új videó került fel a Youtube-ra, s vírusként járta be a világot – egyáltalán nem méltatlanul. A mexikói Buyuchek csapata egy kiváló feldolgozást készített a Quimby: Most múlik pontosan c. örökzöldjéből. Kiss Tibiék klasszikusa egy igazi ponchós, sombreros, ízig-vérig mexikói feldolgozást kapott, olyat, amilyet még soha egyetlen magyar klasszikus sem. S hogy hogyan fedezte fel a dalt a mexikói csapat? A csapat egy rajongójának, Jorge magyar barátjának benyomásait osztotta meg a Divatikon olvasóival: “A történet a 2008-as Folk Cantanhede Nemzetközi Folklórfesztiválon kezdődött, ahol a csapatunk megismerkedett egy mexikói zenésszel, Jorgéval. A barátságunk a mai napig is tart, ő segített nekünk leszervezni egy mexikói turnét , s lehetőségünk nyílt arra is, hogy személyesen megismerjük őt. A csoportban voltak lányok is, akik megmutatták Jorgenak a Most múlik pontosan c. Quimby-klasszikust, s hát ez lett a fesztiválon született barátság az ,,utórezgése˝. 7 év távlatából. Számomra ez megható.Lehet, hogy a kiejtés nem tökéletes, hiszen hogyan is lehetne a nyelv ismerete nélkül? Egy kívülálló hallgató számára persze nyilván ez az, ami elsőre fület szúr. De számomra inkább a kapcsolódás és a barátság a fontos ebben a videóban. Számomra a tanulság az, hogy egy folklórfesztivál messze több, mint 5-8-10 (különböző nemzetiségű) csoport egymás utáni tititázása… egyfajta lehetőség a kapcsolódásra ember és ember között, amire úgy gondolom, ebben a kissé zűrzavaros világban igencsak szükség van.Köszönöm tehát Jorge-nak és a fesztiválnak a lehetőséget!”

A new video has just been uploaded to the Youtube, and it has already spread the world as a virus video – and it is not accidentally at all. The Mexican band Buyuchek made a brilliant cover of the evergreen hit of the Hungarian band Quimby, entitled “Most múlik pontosan”. It (original by Tibor Kiss,frontman of Quimby) was given a new, Mexican type of cover,with pochos and sombreros, one that has never been given to any Hungarian hit. How did the Mexican band discover the song?
“This story began in Folk Cantanhede 2008, where our group became friend with a mexican musician, Jorge. The frienship lasts still, he helped us, when we had a tour in Mexico and also had we the opportunity to meet him again. Girls of the group showed the well-known Hungarian song “Most múlik pontosan” to a friend of Jorge, and here is the result of a frindship made in a folk festival: an online news portal is writing about the recorded video… Maybe the pronunciation is cute, but for me what more important is the connection between people as a result of the festival.For me the moral of a fable: a folk festival is much more than just the show on stage of 5-8-10 folkgroups (of different nations.). It is an opportunity to connect the other people and I think that is what we need, also in this present chaotic world we live nowadays.”
