Lauren Mayhew has recently released her latest track. That’s why we had a chat with each other, and sat down for a short interview.

What can we know about the song and its song writers? And the original version?

The songwriters are myself and Rubyck. Rubyck lives in Hungary, and I was introduced to him by the record label, Elephant House. I loved the track when I heard it and wrote to it immediately. The melody just poured out! Then I booked some time at a studio here in LA where I live with a Hungarian producer named Miklos Malek, and tracked the vocals to send directly to Rubyck.
Rubyck then mixed the vocals and made the final version of the track. To this day we have spoken countless times via email and text, but I have never met him in person or spoken with him on the phone!
Én és Rubyck írtuk a dalt. Rubyck Magyarországon él, az Elephant House lemezkiadóhozott össze bennünket. Imádtam a szöveget, amikor meghallottam, rögtön elkezdtem rá jegyzetelni. A dallam meg csak úgy “kibukott” belőlem. Aztán foglaltam egy időpontot itt Los Angelesben egy magyar producernél – Malek Miklósnál – ő rögzítette a hangsávokat, majd elküldte azokat Rubyck-nak.Rubyck aztán keverte, majd elkészítette a nóta végső változatát. Ezidáig számtalanszor egyeztettünk e-mailben, és szövegesen, de soha nem beszéltünk személyesen, vagy telefonon.
Rubyck keverte a hangsávokat, s ő készítette el a nóta végső változatát. A mai napig számtalanszor váltottunk e-mailt és sms-eztünk, de soha nem találkoztunk személyesen, és telefonon sem beszélgettünk.
In your case, the music comes first, or the lyrics comes first, or how do you “compose” them?
A te esetedben hogyan születnek a dalok, előbb a zenét írod meg, vagy a dalszöveget?
In my case, 99% of the time a DJ or producer will send me a track and that will guide me to what the melody and lyrics should be. I usually come of with the melody first and then the hook. From there I work backwards and write the pre-chorus and verses.
Where can your fans hear you? I heard some trip in Amsterdam is on the way… Could you please tell me more about that and your upcoming concerts in the summer?

I will also be doing some nightclub performances during the month of July out there as well with a DJ duo named Thunderbuds that I recently did a song with called Pouring Rain.
2016.július 6-án egy Structura Outdoor nevű szabadtéri EDM fesztiválra indulok, amely július 9-én lesz. Lesznek klubkoncertjeim is július folyamán úgy szólóban, mint egy Thunderbuds nevű dj-párossal. Velük készítettem nemrégiben a Pouring Rain (Szakadó eső) c. dalomat.
